I'm an extra dimensional being who has infiltrated human society. I'm using a minority of people to stifle community with a series of cultural phenomena. I will make people less self-aware by encouraging them to give into their most primitive instincts. At which point their need for social validation would take precedence over reason. Most of the population would be imprisoned, divided and brainwashed to the point of hopelessness. The goal is to prove that even with such an intervention, the expansion of sentience is inevitable.  The humans would awaken from this induced slumber and continue enlightenment. Chaos will force society to shed culture like a molting snake and evolve in ways unforeseen. People will find strength in their vulnerabilities and fear will be overcome with understanding. I'm currently waiting for the results of this test which can take until the end of this platonic year.
